Zaid, retopology and paint.

Hi, It's Enceya here. Today I want to talk about what I did after finishing the base mesh in Zbrush and how I gave it some color so we could play with the model in the game's prototype.

After finishing the model form in Zbrush I make a copy of every subtool, merge all and decimate it with the decimation master so it can be loaded in Maya. Once in Maya, I give it a retopology so that I can give it a low poly aspect and keep a low poly count as that is our intended aesthethic for the characters of this game.

Now that I finished the retopology of the character and some clothing accessories I added in Maya, I started making UVs as a final step before exporting to Substance Painter.  Once in Substance Painter I give it a quick bake mesh maps and start painting with normal layers, this is for the prototype and painting shall get better later with shaders inside the game engine.

And that was the process for Zaid before bringing him into the prototype of the wandering, we expect to do rigging and animation of the characters soon so keep tuned and thank you for reading to this point o/.
